If you ever have the chance to go to the Beaver Dam Sunflower Festival, I HIGHLY recommend. There are local vendors, FOOD, and SUNFLOWERS (shocker). My friends and I ventured to the festival today. It was a great little adventure! We ate snow cones and kettle corn and took LOTS of pictures.
Before the Class of 2020 sessions start, I wanted to do a blog post with my favorite pictures from graduation sessiosn with the Class of 2019. Last spring I photographed 45 AMAZING seniors, truly amazing. It was a crazy busy season and I loved every second of it. I got to meet a ton of new people. Each and everyone one of them have a great path ahead of them. I can’t wait to see where everyone ends up!
When planning for their engagement session, Brittany had it all planned out perfectly! She wanted to do it somewhere special for them that meant out in the mountains (YAY)!!! Nathan proposed to Brittany while on a hike in front of a beautiful waterfall! I was ecstatic when she mentioned doing this little hike to the top of a mountain with a 360-degree view of mountains… Oh. My. I’ve always wanted to do an engagement session in the middle of the Blue Ridge mountains! The Blue Ridge Mountains were showing off for their engagement photos. You will see what I mean… it was BREATHTAKING.
I am trying to think how long I’ve known Caitlyn for. It has been at least ten years which is crazy to think about! I was so excited to take her senior portraits at Boar’s Head Inn. I remember when we were on a swim team together and I used to coach her and her younger sister. It doesn’t seem that long ago and I can’t believe now she’s going to graduate high school!!!
I am excited to share with you some of Utah’s beauty!! This was one of my favorite vacations to date. I spent the week with my family exploring different National Parks and State Parks. One week later and my body is still exhausted from all of the hiking we did. We traveled to Mirror Lake, Snowbird, Bryce, and Zion which made for a full five days of adventure. The images speak for themselves!
I couldn’t tell if I was at a European castle or in Richmond, Virginia. The wedding at Virginia House was gorgeous! From the gorgeous venue to the elegant design, Ginger and Daniel’s wedding was stunning. Ever since their engagement session, I’ve been so excited to for this day to see them again! The humidity did not stop anyone from having an amazing time.
Megan and Josh’s wedding in Roanoke, Virginia was beautiful. The rain stopped right before the ceremony, which lead to the perfect cool summer afternoon. I connected immediately with these two during their engagement session and it’s been an honor to photograph this stage in their relationship. Some of my favorite memories that are on the blog are Megan and Josh receiving each other’s gifts, Megan’s dance with her son, and the absolutely stunning portraits.
First and foremost, enjoy this short and sweet time in your life. You will be married forever but only engaged for a short amount of time in comparison! That being said, I want to help you maximize your engagement session so that you flawlessly document this special moment in your relationship. This blog post will help you not only prep for your engagement session but also give you engagement session outfit ideas.
It was 69 degrees, rainy, and I’ve never seen so much fog!!! There were times where I couldn’t see more than 15 feet ahead of me. The ceremony space was moved indoors to a BEAUTIFUL white barn at Mountain Lake Lodge. The florals and lights were breathtaking! Cristina and I found a spot with beautiful stone arches that would keep everyone dry for portraits! The fog added a mystical feeling to their images. So in the end, although the fog and rain weren’t ideal… it worked out perfectly.
Guests traveled all over the world to come to this wedding. Quite Literally. Guests traveled over 6,000 miles to be there for Elsa and Carl’s big day. Some who traveled from Japan were only in America for 48 hours. I was blown away to learn this! I think it speaks volumes to the impact that Elsa and Carl have on peoples lives. Elsa and Carl’s wedding reminded me of why I am eternally grateful to have found my passion for photography. Meeting a couple like Elsa and Carl feels like a privilege that I am not deserving of.
