Today I am featuring Jordan from Boundless Love Events on my blog!!!! Jordan is sharing the first steps for planning a wedding. Don’t just head-first into wedding planning without a strategy. Doing these steps FIRST will save yourself from extra stress and headaches.
Within a week, Emily and Chris got engaged, had their consultation call with me, and we planned their engagement session. Talk about a productive week!!!! We just missed peak Fall but we were happy when not all the leaves had fallen yet at Bryan Park for their engagement photos in Richmond.
Megan and Chance were referred to me by a mutual friend and I am so excited that they found me. Megan and I met up for coffee to get to know each other and chat about their wedding! Chance and I both went to the Roanoke College but never crossed paths which is shocking because it’s a relatively small community! During their engagement session, I had fun chatting with Chance about the mutual friends we have at Roanoke College. The engagement photos took place in Roanoke, VA, which is a favorite location of mine.
This Roanoke, VA engagement session was perfect. Jordan and Collin and I had to reschedule the session at Carvins Cove once because of rain. We were worried about having to reschedule it again because the weather looked bad again… The night beforehand we decided we would risk it because it was only supposed to rain in the morning and we would deal with the mud. Well, it was not muddy or cloudy…
On the morning of Elleona’s session, we had to change the location last minute. I am so glad that we ended up at Market at Grelen. I feel like it’s a little hidden gem near Charlottesville and is so beautiful, especially this time of year. Despite being rushed and not having much breathing room before […]
After Molly and Tay’s engagement session, I think Fall is my new favorite season. Their engagement session at Carvins Cove was everything I could have hoped for. I love how the leaves seemed to be changing colors as the light changed. The mountains were showing off today for this gorgeous couple. I squeal on the inside every time I get to photograph a long dress. Molly’s long dress is mesmerizing and I LOVE how it matches the colors of the mountains. I am really excited to share this blog post with you.
Sharing with you the do’s and don’ts of doing a wedding sparkler exit. I love the idea but have seen it go wrong too many times. The craziest thing I have seen is a guest DROP the sparkler on the bride’s dress… and yes there were little flames… Sharing my tips so your exit isn’t a disaster.
After MONTHS and MONTHS of planning, it would be a shame if your guests couldn’t enjoy your ceremony. Right? Especially because some have traveled from far away. I am going to share with you my number one tip to ensure your guests can enjoy your ceremony. In the last year, I have attended a couple of weddings as a guest and photographed over a dozen weddings (as you know, if you have been following my blog and Instagram). That being said, I have taken note of what makes a wedding ceremony flow smoothly without distractions.
December graduates also need recognition! I am so glad that I was able to do Kayla’s!! I am loving this fall senior session at Radford University. This is my first time doing a fall graduation session, and I think I would do more in the future 😉 I know one of Kayla’s friends at Roanoke College and I am glad she connected us!!
